Tal-y-Sarn was gifted to us by Bedminster Down Boys' Club in 2004. Situated on the southern boundary of the Brecon Beacons, not far from Abergavenny, and overlooking Sugar Loaf, the bunkhouse offers a fantastic base from which to explore the local countryside and places of interest.

There are opportunities nearby to participate in watersports (canoeing and sailing) and rocksports (climbing and gorge scrambling) at commercially licensed venues. The bunkhouse is situated alongside national cycling network 46 and there are a number of local walking routes, former rail tunnels, disused quarries and a cave nearby all great for exploring. We have been bringing groups here to enjoy the great outdoors since 2007.

Tal-y-Sarn 016

The cottage is on two levels providing self catering accommodation for up to 14 people. It has been completely renovated and refurbished over several years and has included the construction of a new bathroom, kitchen, staff dorm and upstairs cloakroom. The building has been rewired and replumbed and a new steel roof helps keep it secure and weatherproof.
There is space for vehicle parking 100m away. The garden has seen some improvements but is still a work in progress. We hold occasional working parties and hope to develop an area for tent camping alongside a patio/BBQ area.

Anyone interested in hiring the cottage for weekend breaks or holidays, please see our information brochure or contact the club for more details and prices.
